Links for Success
The Links for Success program provides immigrants and refugees with an opportunity to explore different career and employment options through connections to meaningful volunteering.
In this program, newcomers are placed as volunteers with a variety of agencies and private companies in Edmonton to gain Canadian work experience and better understand Canadian culture, particulary work-place culture.
Currently, newcomers can be placed in volunteer placement in the following areas:
- Pharmacy
- Law
- Adminstrative Support
- Customer Service
- Retail
- Social Work
- Information Technology
- Construction Engineering
- Healthcare
- Education
Participants in this program are required to attend biweekly learning and reflection sessions delivered by staff. The sessions provide parcipants with additional support and facilitate active learning over the course of the program.
